Missing teeth can have a significant impact on your oral health and overall well-being. Beyond the obvious aesthetic concerns, tooth loss can lead to a multitude of issues, including:
Jawbone Deterioration: When a tooth is lost, the jawbone in that area starts to deteriorate over time. Dental implants effectively halt this process by stimulating bone growth, preserving the natural structure of your jaw.
Shifting Teeth: Empty spaces left by missing teeth can cause the surrounding teeth to shift or tilt, leading to misalignment and bite problems. Dental implants fill the gaps and maintain proper tooth alignment, promoting a healthy bite.
Facial Sagging: The loss of teeth can contribute to facial sagging and a prematurely aged appearance. Dental implants provide vital support to the facial structure, restoring a youthful appearance and preventing facial sagging.
Speech Impairments: Missing teeth can affect your speech, causing difficulties with pronunciation and clarity. Dental implants offer stability and ensure proper articulation, allowing you to speak with confidence.
Nutritional Deficiencies: Inability to chew properly due to missing teeth can limit your food choices and lead to nutritional deficiencies. Dental implants function just like natural teeth, enabling you to enjoy a varied and nutritious diet.
Dr Alex Nikolaou is a dental implant dentist, meaning he has a special interest in dental implants.
Dental implants provide a revolutionary tooth replacement solution that offers numerous benefits for our patients:
Permanent and Stable: Dental implants are designed to fuse with your jawbone, providing a stable foundation for replacement teeth. They look, feel, and function like natural teeth, giving you the confidence to smile, eat, and speak naturally.
Improved Oral Health: Unlike traditional dentures or bridges, dental implants do not rely on neighbouring teeth for support. This preserves the integrity of your remaining teeth and promotes better oral health in the long run.
Long-Term Solution: With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last a lifetime, making them a cost-effective investment in your oral health and well-being.
Enhanced Aesthetics: Dental implants are customized to match the colour, shape, and size of your natural teeth, ensuring a seamless integration and a beautiful, natural-looking smile.
Restored Functionality: Experience the joy of eating your favourite foods without worrying about discomfort or restrictions. Dental implants provide the strength and stability needed to bite and chew effectively.
Confidence Boost: Regain your self-assurance and enjoy social interactions without feeling self-conscious about your smile. Dental implants restore your smile’s aesthetics and function, boosting your overall confidence.
Convenient and Low Maintenance: Unlike removable dentures, dental implants eliminate the need for messy adhesives or special cleaning routines. Simply brush, floss, and maintain regular dental visits for optimal oral hygiene.
Preservation of Facial Structure: By preventing jawbone deterioration and facial sagging, dental implants help maintain the natural contours of your face, giving you a more youthful appearance.
Personalized Treatment: Dr. Alex Nikolaou takes a personalized approach to dental implant treatment, carefully considering your unique needs and goals. We strive to provide a comfortable and stress-free experience throughout your journey to a restored smile.
Comprehensive Care: Our practice offers a complete range of dental implant services, including diagnostic imaging, implant placement surgery, and the restoration of implant-supported crowns, bridges, and dentures. You can receive all your dental implant treatments under one roof, ensuring a streamlined and convenient experience.
